My Marty (grandmother) used to say “Ladies don’t sweat, they glow.” Nope, not this lady. I sweat…a LOT!
In fact, there is a new Axe deodorant commercial that came on no less than a dozen times during the basketball marathon that was on at our house this past weekend where a guy is sweating everywhere (like water shooting out from his underarms). Have you seen it? I was laughing at it and then said how gross it was. Really, it almost stimulated my gag reflex. Sorry if you’re eating while you read this 🙂
My husband said it looked like me after a workout or hot yoga. EWWWW! Oh well, I guess that’s why I feel so great after. I sweat out all my toxins. It’s worth the risk of having my “Lady” card revoked.
That’s post-run this morning. Obviously I was feeling much better when I woke up this morning. I did still take it slow and headed out for a run a bit later than usual. I did 6 miles with the first 2 at 8min pace, then 2 at 8:15 pace, then kicked it in for the last two at a 7:30 pace.
Breakfast was protein pancakes with some change-ups. This time I used vanilla instead of chocolate protein powder and added blueberries.
The blueberries bursted as they were cooking and made little pretty purpley-blue polka-dots of goodness. Can you tell I was pleased with my breakfast? 🙂 I topped the whole thing off with some sugar-free maple syrup and practically licked the plate.
