So yesterday I bragged about my feeling of freedom while running and the ability to be able to just go and go and go. I did also mention that was a day to day sorta thing. Today was the opposite (maybe due to that 9 miler). My workout this morning was good, but not as enjoyable or effortless. I did 15 minutes on the elliptical, a 3 mile run, and 15 minutes on the bike. It was good, but my legs definitely made themselves known today 🙂 I look forward to yoga later today to get my stretch on.
In the name of clean eating, I used my new friend Agave as a sweetener with breakfast and am really loving that stuff. I did also use protein powder that contains artificial sweetener in my chocolate protein pancakes, but if that’s all I get all day, I’m not going to worry about it. Replacing the sugar-free syrup with agave was a good step.
I wanted to say happy Friday and leave you with the Mantra of the Month from the Shape magazine I read while pedaling this morning.
“I want what I have”
This month, take a moment to acknowldege what you do have and not what you want. Be thankful for your health, best friend, pets, beautiful springtime weather (go april!), or whatever it is that makes you happy. It’s fullfilling to appreciate where you are in life, even if you desire more in the future.
I’m going to have a clean eating recipe marathon thsis weekend, so stay tuned for those and their reviews. Yum!
