I got up this morning to beautiful sunshine. I laced up the kicks and headed out the door and got in a fantastic 6 mile run up to and around a park in our neighborhood. They were having an Easter parade and Easter egg hunt around that time and there were kids EVERYWHERE! They were so excited and it really brightened my already sunshiney day.
I had Green Monster #3 that almost went overboard. Note to self, use a bigger bowl. That dayglow green is bound to stain.
I then drove over to the yoga studio for some serious stretching and strengthening, then back home for lunch which was a total repeat of last night’s dinner. Eat Clean Meatballs are da bomb!
I had plans to meet up with Kelly after all that to do a little shopping, but she had some business to attend to, so I went solo. Outlet malls on a Weekend Holiday Holiday Weekend are maybe the worst idea ever! Seriously, what was I thinking?! I hit up two stores and scored two outfits before making a break for the car and maneuvering the overcrowded parking lot with as little road rage as possible.
Outfit #1 was for my professional side.
Outfit #2 was for play.
I don’t really care that much what I look like when I work out. Good thing since I sweat not glow as previously discussed, but I do feel good in a new workout outfit and try to coordinate as best I can.
I also had a bit of an impulse buy at the counter as they were ringing up Outfit #1.
It was only ten bucks and I have a weakness for chunky jewelry. My husband says I like gawdy stuff. Not gawdy, statement pieces. I’m a plain clothes made fancy with jewelry type person. One of my favorite outfits is a flowy skirt or jeans with a tank and a great bracelet, earrings, or necklace. Notice I said OR. I don’t pile it all on at once. I like to think I have at least that much good taste 🙂
I popped into Whole Foods (another thing to add to the weekend no-no list) on my way home to grab a few veggies and other choice items for the week ahead and continued my cheery Saturday by purchasing these beauties.
What a great day! Now I’m about to settle in with dinner (not sure what’s gonna make the plate tonight) and a girlie movie. Actually, two girlie movies. I got “Brothers” and “Meet the Morgans”. I think I’ll watch “Brothers” first since I heard it’s good but dark and then lighten up the mood before bed with “Meet the Morgans”. Gotta end the good day with something light and funny.
