It has already been a good morning, but I have to be out and about quickly again this morning.
I usually have time in the morning to relax and eat breakfast at my leisure after my workout. It’s my “me” time and I really do cherish it.
Yesterday morning was an early morning for work and today, though it wasn’t as early and I was able to get in my routine AM exercise, I am having to rush out to a meeting. It seems that’s going to be a trend this week. Push through and next week should be better.
I have a recipe for ya before I go that I made this weekend and forgot to post. They are great little clean cookies. Sweet enough but not overly so. They satisfy my sweet tooth perfectly. Kinda cakey or biscuit-like in texture.
PB Banana Oatmeal Cookies
3/4 c nut butter (I actually used almond)
2 ripe bananas
2T milk of your choice (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
2T maple syrup
2 1/2 c oats
1t cinnamon (I think I used more)
1/4 c wheat flour (I used oat)
Mash the banana in a bowl and then add the milk, vanilla, and maple syrup. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Drop on to a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 13-16 minutes.
So in my opinion, nut butter + chocolate or banana or both may be some of the best combinations EVER!
