Or my total demise! Ok, so that’s a bit dramatic, but Jillian showed up in my house again today in all her rage and fitness might and kicked my ASS! I tried level 3 of the Shred on for size after giving 1 and 2 a go last week. I have to say I’m not sure I think the strength training is any more difficult from one to another, but the cardio portion gets exponentially more difficult.
I would think that cardio would be my strong suit since in any given week I get more cardio than the average jo (though as statisitcs show Jo is doing a lot of sitting around and preparing for a heart attack or raging case of Type 2 diabetes, so that’s maybe not saying much these days) Anyway, the cardio is HARD. After 20 minutes I look like I just got finished with a swim.
Jillian, You are a pain in my ass, literally…and shoulders, thighs, biceps, abs, etc.
After sucha sweat session, I wanted something cold. Enter a new product I found recently at Sprouts.
These Power of Fruit bars are little frozen paths to paradise. It was the perfect cool down treat and with no added sugar. The ingredient list is: Pinapple, Mango, Banana, white grapfruit juice concentrate, water, and NOTHING ELSE (their words exactly).
They tasted just like if you mashed up pineapple, mango, and banana and froze it. If you are more inclined to sweet, these proabably wouldn’t be for you, but if you want something nice and cool that tastes like simple frozen fruit, go for it. They also came in a red flavor but I can’t remember what it was exactly. Berry?? I’ll try that one next.
Hump day is over so head and grab yourself a Cinco de Mayo fruity bev. Ole!
