After this morning’s 7 mile run, I quickly brewed some coffee and whipped together a breakfast to-go. I had a chocolate banana protein shake and after a sweaty workout, it really hit the spot.
In the mix:
1 scoop chocolate whey protein
1T flax seed meal
1T Ghiradelli dark cocoa powder
handful of spinach
1/2c unsweetened chocolate almond breeze and 1/2c water
1/2t xanthum gum
I mixed it all in my Magic Bullet and added a few ice cubes for the chill.
I had to get on the road to hit up the Farmer’s Market before yoga and before it got too hot. It was already a bit warm at 9am, but not unbearable. Yet. I got another good array of veggies some of which are new to me. Watch out! I’m getting adveturous.
In the bag:
- little carrots
- white eggplant
- banana peppers
- organic dog treats
Anyone ever had kohlrabi? This one is new to me, but they looked too cool to pass by. The guy said they were similar to jicama and would be great with dip or on a salad. I thought I’d give em a try.
The white eggplant was also a variation from the normal purple and is said to be a little sweeter. In the bag it went.
The plethra of banana peppers were a bit of an impulse buy and I’m not really sure what I will do with them all. Again it was suggested they would be good on salads and sanwiches, so I decided why not. Any ideas on what to do ALL with these?
