After a holiday weekend it is always hard to get back to the real world, so I’m going to start this post off with my three positives of the morning.
- A good strong workout – 15 minutes on the elliptical/4 mile run/20 minutes of total body weights
- breakfast outside on the back porch
- a three day weekend means only a 4 day workweek. There’s the silver lining to having to go back.
Usually when I go to the gym in the morning I don’t have a camera, but today I needed my phone for a Women’s Health workout app that aided me in my weight session. Not a great camera, but a camera none the less. I decided to snap a few from my return home. What a beautiful Day!
It was only 7:30am and already gorgeous out! I also discovered that my shadow could be a basketball player.
I’m only 5 feet tall but it looks like the morning shadow could have a promising career. I’ll have to look into that.
Once I got home and showered, I cooked up some chocolate protein pancakes and topped them off with some sugar-free syrup, 1/2 a banana, and a couple of strawberries.
The pancakes and a cup of coffee joined me out on the back porch for an enjoyable breakfast outdoors. How could I resist? GMA will have to wait until another day. Perfect temps and blue sky were calling to me.
It’s a nice 75 degrees out right now but the highs this week are getting close to 100. Gotta take advantage of the moderate mornings. All good things must come to an end, though, so I’m off to work. Hopefully I can recreate this scene again tomorrow morning. Have a good day!
