I am making Latin Chicken for dinner tonight (I’ll post the recipe tomorrow morning if it’s good). It was planned for lastnight, but my parents-in-law were in town, so we put it off until today so we could go to dinner with them. I made a run to Super Target yesterday because I needed limes for the recipe and also needed new face wash and moisturizer. Target is my one-stop shop when I want an easy in and out and somewhere that I can get the randoms on the list. Plus I just like to go there 🙂 While there I bought two new to me items to try.
Immediately upon arriving home I popped the top of the Archer Farms Organic Chunky Peanutbutter. Fingers as a spoon dove in for a taste. I haven’t had a chance to actually use it, but that one dip was enough for me to say YUM! Archer Farms (the Target brand) has so far impressed me and this was another winner. It had the one main thing that I’m looking for in peanutbutter. It tasted like…PEANUTS! Imagine that.
The second item on the excited-to-find list I’ve seen all over the blogworld but not in any store around here. That is until my beloved Target saved the day. Oikos Caramel. I have purchased the fruit flavors and honey version all over town, but the caramel and chocolate eluded me. I decided to start with the caramel and go back for the chocolate at later date.
My snack this afternoon was a perfect Pink Lady dipped in the caramel greek and it was DIVINE! It was like a caramel apple from the fair but healthy, more convenient, and much less messy (I always had sticky chin for hours after biting into those things).
Caramel apples were always my favorite fair food (besides the turkey leg that made me feel very medieval) and now I can have it sans all the carnies. Those guys were almost too creepy to be worth the fab food, but now no worries. Score!
